Photography

Photography is in my blood; my Father and Grandfather were not just keen, but both very good photographers.

I contemplated a career in photography, but riding and training took precedence for a while. However, it wasn't long before photography became a big part of my business especially after being given the chance to join the Badminton Horse Trials media team in 2010, a post I retain to this day. I now do regular work for the likes of Your Horse Magazine, Edgbaston Priory Club & Hereford Market Auctioneers as well as other commercial and private commissions.

Website Development

An idea, back in 2003, to build a website as a one-stop resource for riders in Herefordshire started my love of website design. The website & business HerefordEquestrian.co.uk expanded quickly and remains very popular both for riders and local equestrian and rural businesses.

As a result of building Hereford Equestrian, other commissions came my way and I have built websites for local businesses and often provide the photography as well.

Coaching

Horses have been a part of my life from the word go! Having been 'plonked' on a pony's (unbroken!) back at the age of 2 by my keen Mum, it wasn't long before I was a member of the Pony Club, competing at every given opportunity and before I knew it, on the first step of the coaching ladder as a qualified Instructor. A few years later, I passed the BHSI, now known as the Stage 5 Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship.

I evented 3 horses at Intermediate level before concentrating on dressage and rode a number of horses to advanced level.

I coach amateur and professional riders on a one to one basis or in small groups. I love getting in the head of both a horse and rider and getting the best out of both while being very patient.

Having received coaching from International riders myself, I pass on classical training to riders of all ambitions. I don't mind whether your aim is to go and compete at a local unaffiliated competition or to compete Internationally, I will bring equal passion to your goal.

My full riding cv is listed on the 'Coaching' page.
